01What it is

One row per hire, in priority order. Employer on-costs are included in every monthly figure, and the cost-by-month line feeds the people section of your cash plan.

What’s inside

  • Hiring plan: the eight-row plan with the cost of each hire
  • Cost by month: 24 months of cost from each start month, with the line for your cash plan
  • Triggers: the four tests that say when each hire is due

Start here. Fill in the role, function, start month, base salary and commission for the first three hires, set the first month on the Cost by month tab, then answer the four Triggers tests.

Every file comes filled in with a worked example for Northlight AI Ltd, a fictional company. Blue cells are yours to overwrite; white cells calculate. Formats show £: for €, change the currency format on the number cells.
