SVV Announces Successful Exit of Getvisibility to Global Security Giant Forcepoint
Sure Valley Ventures (SVV), the specialist AI VC, is excited to announce that its Fund 1 portfolio company Getvisibility, a leading AI data security company, has been acquired in a cash sale by global security leader, Forcepoint. Getvisibility is a leading AI cybersecurity company focusing on data visibility and control, which uses state-of-the-art AI to classify and secure unstructured information. Forcepoint is a global leader in data and cloud security, simplifying security for businesses and governments around the world.
The sale represents a significant return for SVV’s Fund 1 of c. 4.5x cash on cash, returning an additional 40% of the entire fund to investors, adding to previous returns of capital related to exits incl. Artomatix, Engage XR, Smarttech247, Landvault and now Getvisibility. SVV remains confident of further exits.
SVV was the first investor in Getvisibility in 2020, recognising the scale of the opportunity in the AI security space, the huge potential for the company’s proprietary AI software and the strength of their founding team. SVV has continued to support the company throughout their growth journey, following on at Seed and Series A, which brough in leading European VCs Alpha Intelligence Capital and Fortino Capital in a €10 million funding round.
Since SVV’s initial investment in 2020, Getvisibility has experienced remarkable growth, solidifying its position as a global leader in the AI security landscape. Over the years, it has grown its customer base to hundreds of clients around the world, introduced market-leading AI security products and partnered with some of the most prominent global giants within the AI and Security space. Early in the lifecycle of the Company, Getvisibility established a strong OEM relationship with Forcepoint to launch cutting-edge AI data security products to the market. This has been pivotal for the company, helping it grow significantly and expand its operations globally.
Last year, Getvisibility announced that it was one of a select few to be chosen by OpenAI to integrate their technology within ChatGPT Enterprise, in partnership with Forcepoint. They also released a first-of-its kind Generative AI security product with Forcepoint, addressing a major challenge for enterprises wanting to integrate Generative AI securely whilst maintaining stringent data protection. With Getvisibility’s software, these enterprises can now fully harness the power of AI whilst effectively mitigating risks related to data security and lack of oversight.
